The strange story of ?French Marie?

In the summer of 1908, the station master at Houston’s Grand Central Station, about where the downtown post office is today, noticed a woman wandering around the train depot. He tried to see if she needed help, but she apparently wasn’t very forthcoming. Where was she going? What was her name? She didn’t say. One thing was for sure, the woman, who was in her 40s, was no vagrant.
