Comment: Why the water firms' feeble excuses for a hosepipe ban during the floods simply won't wash
Once it was British Rail which used to lead the world in feeble excuses. Now Thames Water has tried to convince us that the deluge won't end the hosepipe ban because it is the wrong time of year for rain.
