Future Media Concepts (FMC), a digital media training organization, has announced it has partnered with NewBay Media to offer two half-day training sessions for video professionals June 20 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City, in conjunction with DV Expo East. Co-location with DV Expo East means attendees can receive expert training and still have time to explore the show floor.
The sessions are entitled "Intro to 4k Workflow," which will cover the fundamentals of shooting, editing, and delivering content in 4k resolutions and beyond; and "HDSLR Cinematography," which will address the strengths and weaknesses of using DSLR cameras to produce content. Both sessions will be taught by Yan Shvalb, an FMC certified instructor.
"Since our New York training center focuses on software training, for this conference we wanted to offer something outside of the standard workflow — something that was not strictly software-based," said Ben Kozuch, president and co-founder, FMC Conferences. "4k workflow and HDSLR cinematography techniques are exciting topics, so we brought in one of our foremost experts to share his unique insight."
The cost for the one-day conference is $395, which includes access to both sessions and a DV Expo East exhibit pass. Individual session registration is not available.
